Bobby Ross and Brockport Golden Eagles Reach the NCAA Tournament

Bobby Ross a So. from Grand Island was a member of the 2011 College at Brockport Men's Soccer team that reached the NCAA Tournament. The team has now reached the tournament for four conseuctive years.

After reaching the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship game for the fourth consecutive year, the Golden Eagles earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. Brockport fell in the SUNYAC Championship game 1-0 to the top-seeded Oneonta Red Dragons.

The Golden Eagles opened up the NCAA Tournament with their third consecutive first round victory, defeating Manhattanville College 1-0. Brockport advanced to face host Stevens Tech. in the second round. Brockport suffered a heartbreaking loss in penalty kicks to the Ducks. After two scoreless regulation periods and two overtime periods, both teams headed to the shootout where the Ducks took a 4-2 victory.

Brockport finished their season with a 13-4-2 overall record.
